The newest of refugees arrive at the border with virtually nothing but a bag of clothes.
When our volunteers locate a host family to allow refugees to stay for one to several weeks, we provide a minimal cash allowance to our refugee family for food and personal items so that the host family is not additionally burdened by their generosity.
